De Gainward Bliss NVIDIA Geforce 8400GS ontwikkelt door CardExpert technology onderdeel van Palit Microsystems is een high performance grafische kaart voorzien van de entry level NVIDIA Geforce 8400 GS G86 Telsa grafische processing Unit. Gainward staat bekend om het uitbrengen van prestatie gerichte gamers videokaarten onder de naam Gainward PCX Bliss en Gainward GS; Golden Sample. Deze Gainward Bliss 8400GS PCX is daar geen uitzondering op. De rode kleur van het PCB print circuit board en de Rode/ Paarse metallic kleur van de 100% Stille passieve heatsink / koelblok laat zien dat het om een Gainward model grafische kaart gaat. Nu is de Gainward Bliss geen specifieke gamers kaart het model is zeker geschikt voor verschillende recente multimedia toepassingen en geschikt als casual / entry gamers kaart voor games uitgebracht rond de introductie periode gezien de Geforce 8400 GS voorzien is van de recentere unified shader architectuur.
De Geforce 8400GS is de eerste generatie Geforce GPU grafische processoren die werken met de volledige Unfied shader Architectuur om complexere 3D beeldelementen en grafische scennes en beeldelementen efficiënter en sneller te verwerken. Bij de unfied shader verwerking wordt er geen ver NVIDIA schil meer gemaakt tussen afzonderlijke Pixel (eenvoudige intructies), Vertex, Geometry Units (veel/complexe bewerkingen). Alle Shader processoren kunnen beide taken uitvoeren en dynamisch worden ingezet als zware Vertex / Geometry taken hier om vragen of als grote hoeveelheden Pixel Shading instructies taken moeten worden uitgevoerd. Er kan door de GPU flexibel worden gewerkt met de Unfied Shader Processoren en taken toewijzen waar ze nodig zijn en dat betekent snelheid en efficiënte waardoor de grafische architectuur wel twee twee keer zo snel kan zijn als voorgaande GPUs in dezelfde klasse.
Eigenschappen van deze Geforce 8400 GS GPU is dat het een CUDA grafische processing unit is, met zogenaamde Compute capabillity 1.1. De Compute capabillity 1.1 en OpenCL 1.0 C-programming language maakt het mogelijk de communicatie en instructie-opdrachten tussen hardware zoals GPU, CPU en software aansturing efficiënter te laten verlopen, waardoor en vele vormen van prestatiewinst en grafische acceleratie kan worden verkregen ( v.b. PhysX acceleratie).De standaard kloksnelheid van de Gainward 8400GS is 460Mhz en de grafische architecture bestaat uit 16 Cuda shader processoren met 8 texture units met 2 Streaming Multiprocessors met een shaderklolsnelheid van ruim 918 MHz. Pros: Revitalized my 6 years old Dell XPS Studio 8000 that gave me a blue screen after 6 years of service
I got a blue screen and memory dumping after 6 years on my Dell XPS 8000. The new graphics card just did the job. Connected two monitors, stream Netflix while editing video with Premiere Elements. Even play games like Dreamfall Chapters with no problem whatsoever. Not bad for a 32 $ card. Very satisfied.ideo with Premiere Elements. Pros: Inexpensive (less than $35) and an easy fit in a low profile PC. I put this in a Dell Optiplex GX620 low profile. The Geforce 8400 GS comes with a full-size bracket installed but includes two low-profile brackets which are easily changed out. It was recognized by Windows 7 immediately and drivers are available for 7, 8 and 10 in 32-bit and 64-bit flavors.kets which are easily changed out. Pros: Great card for running low end games or just having it for dual monitors.
Stays cool running two monitors in games.
Other Thoughts: Would recommend for anyone needing a dual monitor setup.

De Geforce 8400GS is een low-end grafische kaart met 256 mb geheugen en een pci-e aansluiting. De lage prijs was voor mij aanleiding tot aanschaf.
Ik kon de shader en de core stabiel overklokken tot het maximaal mogelijke in rivatuner. Dat wil zeggen dat de core nu op 750 MHz loopt en de shader op 1875 MHz. Het geheugen loopt ipv 333 mhz nu op 477 hmz. Alles loopt nog gewoon stabiel. Voor deze overklok heb ik trouwens geen hardwarematige aanpassing gedaan
Ook het afspelen van HD content vergaat de 8400GS goed. Alles speelt zonder schokken oid af en de processor word voor ongeveer 30% belast. Bovendien blijven de temperaturen acceptabel.
Verschillende bronnen op internet zijn ook positief over deze kaart. Zo zouden halflife2, crysis, world of warcraft, need for speed undercover, call of duty world at war en bioshock op deze kaart draaien. Ik heb dit zelf nog niet geprobeerd, maar ik verwacht dat je dan naar een diashow zit te kijken van 640*480 oid.
Zowel met als zonder overklok is de idle temperatuur ongeveer 43 graden. Load zonder oc is hij 58 graden en met oc ongeveer 65 graden. Wat temperatuur betreft is er dus nog voldoende ruimte
Review Overclock3D Net The XFX Geforce 8400 GS is a pretty decently performing little card. Gaming at 1024 x 768 with 2 x AA is a nice experience and was fairly smooth throughout testing. HD playback was good and the cards features are definately suitable for a media centre.As such I am giving the card a "Value for Money Award". When XFX brings out the card with a passive cooler I won't hesitate to award our "HTPC Approved" Award too, and we'll look forward to this in the near future.

Pros: Revitalized my 6 years old Dell XPS Studio 8000 that gave me a blue screen after 6 years of service
I got a blue screen and memory dumping after 6 years on my Dell XPS 8000. The new graphics card just did the job. Connected two monitors, stream Netflix while editing video with Premiere Elements. Even play games like Dreamfall Chapters with no problem whatsoever. Not bad for a 32 $ card. Very satisfied.ideo with Premiere Elements. Pros: Inexpensive (less than $35) and an easy fit in a low profile PC. I put this in a Dell Optiplex GX620 low profile. The Geforce 8400 GS comes with a full-size bracket installed but includes two low-profile brackets which are easily changed out. It was recognized by Windows 7 immediately and drivers are available for 7, 8 and 10 in 32-bit and 64-bit flavors.kets which are easily changed out. Pros: Great card for running low end games or just having it for dual monitors.
Stays cool running two monitors in games.
Other Thoughts: Would recommend for anyone needing a dual monitor setup.

De Geforce 8400GS is een low-end grafische kaart met 256 mb geheugen en een pci-e aansluiting. De lage prijs was voor mij aanleiding tot aanschaf.
Ik kon de shader en de core stabiel overklokken tot het maximaal mogelijke in rivatuner. Dat wil zeggen dat de core nu op 750 MHz loopt en de shader op 1875 MHz. Het geheugen loopt ipv 333 mhz nu op 477 hmz. Alles loopt nog gewoon stabiel. Voor deze overklok heb ik trouwens geen hardwarematige aanpassing gedaan
Ook het afspelen van HD content vergaat de 8400GS goed. Alles speelt zonder schokken oid af en de processor word voor ongeveer 30% belast. Bovendien blijven de temperaturen acceptabel.
Verschillende bronnen op internet zijn ook positief over deze kaart. Zo zouden halflife2, crysis, world of warcraft, need for speed undercover, call of duty world at war en bioshock op deze kaart draaien. Ik heb dit zelf nog niet geprobeerd, maar ik verwacht dat je dan naar een diashow zit te kijken van 640*480 oid.
Zowel met als zonder overklok is de idle temperatuur ongeveer 43 graden. Load zonder oc is hij 58 graden en met oc ongeveer 65 graden. Wat temperatuur betreft is er dus nog voldoende ruimte
Review Overclock3D Net The XFX Geforce 8400 GS is a pretty decently performing little card. Gaming at 1024 x 768 with 2 x AA is a nice experience and was fairly smooth throughout testing. HD playback was good and the cards features are definately suitable for a media centre.As such I am giving the card a "Value for Money Award". When XFX brings out the card with a passive cooler I won't hesitate to award our "HTPC Approved" Award too, and we'll look forward to this in the near future.
